How to Prevent CrossFit Injuries

Here’s what you need to know…

  1. CrossFit exposed the general public to all forms of exercise. Loading those exercises with weight when they’re not ready leads to injury.
  2. Gray Cook, the founder of FMS (Functional Movement Screen), believes that prioritizing reps and time means lifters often neglect technique.
  3. If you’ve been injured before, you’re at a much greater risk for experiencing the same kind of injury. Training without fully recovering is risky.
  4. The combination of heavy loading, technical lifts, and time restraints – CrossFit in a nutshell – can “wake up” old injuries.
